I have been at the forefront of the relocation industry for over 30 years starting my career as a relocation professional in East England. I was a founder member of the ARP in 1986 and was approached by the Board to take on its administration in 1987.Over the years I have developed and implemented standards and ethics which now define the delivery of services across Europe. In forming the European Academy of Relocation Professionals (EARP) in 2002, I was able to implement a standardised training programme across Europe, resulting in the MIM, MIM+ and MIM Fellowship certifications. The MIM programme has been delivered in EMEA, Americas and APAC.In 1998, I was fully involved with the formation of EuRA, the European Relocation Association. In the last 18 years, EuRA has become a leading force in global mobility. In 2008 I pushed to have a global standard of excellence for providers and the EuRA Global Quality Seal was launched. This is an ISO equivalent independent audit process to ensure seamless service delivery and excellence in process management.Over the last five years I have worked with Oxford Brookes University to develop an online intercultural coaching programme, which has been successfully delivered across the world to more than 40 companies staff including independent relocation consultants and owner managers.
